FAQs
you asked, we listened
Q. Will it really only take 20 minutes to make a website?
A. Hopefully even less.
Q. What do I need to get started?
A. Just a data file (*.csv/spreadsheet) is enough! Then a WordPress account to get load up the WEBseq app, make your site, and push it live.
Q. Can webSEQ plot and post single cell/nuclei RNAseq data?
A. No. We purposefully have focused on the sharing of bulk datasets (RNA, protein, lipid, etc.). The goal of WEBseq is to make data accessible FAST, and ON THE GO. Most users of our earlier web dataset portal (BrainRNASeq.org) have accessed data on their phones, and in often in regions with low bandwidth. For sharing/hosting single cell/nuclei and spatial transcriptomic datasets there are many excellent options elsewhere.
Q. Why can’t webSEQ analyze my data?
A. WEBseq is a data hosting platform, and not a data analysis program. We recommend analyzing and validating your data prior to sharing.
